I firmly believe in practicing the art and science of my profession to the best of my ability.

I further believe that most psychiatric /mental disorders are biochemically based, similar to other diseases e.g. diabetes, thus requiring the science of medicine/psychiatry. The art of medicine/psychiatry is to meet the unique needs of the individual: by accurate diagnoses, appropriate medication, therapy as needed. As with other medical illnesses, depending on the severity, life style changes may be enough. Patients who are refered by other providers often need medication , and/or a combination of medication and therapy. No one wants an illness, but when illness occurs , the better care we take of it, the less it controls our life and the better the quality of our life.
